LOST NIGHT - Susan Sicafoosh

The mental cry was received while the Vulcan Ambassador was deeply immersed in the meeting.

Spock dropped the glass and pitcher he was holding at the force of the mental cry. The sound of splintering crystal shattered the room's decorum and the Drela, to a being, leapt to their feet. Chattering wildly, they surrounded the Vulcan, waving what passed as arms in his face .

FIRE WALKER - Scott Hunter

Miramonee! James Kirk sat up and looked around. He was back in his cabin, in his bed on the large starship he called home.

Kirk walked into the adjoining bathroom pausing to look at his sweat-covered body in the reflection glass. Damn, the soft expletive mixed with the sound of the water tap activating, the cool stream of liquid quickly filling the bottom of the basin and disappearing into the recycling system in a swirling whirlpool. He hadn't had that dream in a long time. Miramonee, her people... his paradise. A wife and soon a child. God, what had he lost?

THE K/S SCROLLS - Transcribed from Vulcanur Tokiel by T'Rhys, Ph.D.

Once upon a time, there lived the good King of ShiKahr Province and his Queen. They were very happy, and would have been content except that they had no children although they nearly worked their fingers to the bone trying. Finally, the King went to see the witch T'Pau.

HOW LATE I CAME TO LOVE YOU - Karen Dates

Sarek sighed. He was alone with his adopted son, and he decided that the cause was sufficient. His wife and James would have smiled. However, current circumstances would not provide an opportunity for their smiles soon. They had been incredibly lucky. He knew of no other description which would apply to the presence of himself, Amanda, Leonard and T'Pau at the time of the dis-bonding that had briefly taken James' life. Between the four of them they had managed to return life and bonding to this most precious son.

TWO SLAVES - Carol Turner

Dear Spock, I dreamt last night, my fellow friend, when the lights went out and we'd said good-bye. The visions that crawled over my body were strangely exciting and it surprised me.

My dearest Jim, for after our...romp in your dream, I feel I can call you Jim. Do inform me if I am incorrect?

CALL FROM THE PAST - Sharon Travis & Gena Moretti

Alone in the secret room adjoining the sumptuous beauty of Queen Nefertari's tomb in Egypt's Valley of the Queens, the slave, Chnum-Aa knelt beside the coffin which held her beloved mistress's wrapped body. The slave was neither heart broken nor frightened. She knew her own death would not be particularly painful. She would have until the air in this secret room would no longer sustain her life, or the life of the torch which was still burning brightly She had no idea how long it would take before their bodies were discovered....
